Description A reputable Construction Company in Escondido is looking for a dedicated and analytical Project Accountant to manage financials for ongoing construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in construction accounting, including cost tracking, budgeting, and contract management. Key Responsibilities: + Manage financial aspects of multiple construction projects, including budgets, job costing, and reporting. + Review and process subcontractor and vendor invoices in alignment with project contracts. + Prepare and track monthly progress billing and lien releases as required. + Collaborate with project managers to ensure project financials align with company goals. + Reconcile project expenses and identify discrepancies or variances. + Assist in month-end and year-end close processes specific to project accounting. Requirements + 3+ years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction industry. + Strong knowledge of construction accounting software (e.g., Viewpoint, Sage) and advanced Excel skills. + Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. + Familiarity with AIA billing and lien waiver requirements is a plus. + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
