Performs accounting services for specific projects and clients as assigned. The scope of work will be determined based on client needs. This role is intended to fill a gap where there is a vacancy in a Troon Accountant position and needs to be backfilled for a short period. There may also be internal project assignments where this person will assist.             

Duties:

Manages the full-cycle accounting for assigned project (s) or very specific tasks within the closed cycle Prepares monthly financial statements and supporting schedules. Posts daily sales and records journal entries. Reconciles all balance sheet accounts including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets, deferred revenue, sales tax, and accruals. Performs research and investigates variance analysis. Provides support and service to our customers, including General Managers and our corporate Operations team. Assists during transitions with the front-end accounting set-up. Works closely with Troon’s Transition lead, clubs GM’s and department heads during this process. Undertakes other special project work as assigned to assist the team. Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; and 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel: Approximately 10% travel

Strong ability to work independently Experience managing and prioritizing multiple clients’ needs simultaneously Strong Microsoft Excel skills required Experience with Jonas Club Management is a plus Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
