Job Title: Project Accounting Specialist
Job Description

As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the Denver-based projects. This includes project billings and invoices, reviewing federal contracts, supporting month-end processes, running project financial reports, and performing QA/QC on invoices tied to specific projects.

ResponsibilitiesReview and post timesheets.Prepare labor reports.Maintain project billing and contract files.Ensure subconsultants' invoices are coded properly and approve payment of invoices.Prepare monthly project invoices to clients.Record cash receipts and payments.Prepare subconsultant agreements and client agreements.Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on past-due invoices.Accurately enter and maintain proposal and project information in the accounting system.Maintain adequate record-keeping.Work with project managers to address challenges.Essential Skills4+ years of experience in project accounting.Experience in the AEC industry (Architecture, Engineering, Construction).Proficiency with Deltek ERP.High School Diploma or equivalent.Strong attention to detail and self-monitoring for accuracy.Experience handling $400-500K gross billing per month.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.Effective communication with subcontractors and project managers.Work Environment

Our Client is a 65-person company with three offices located in Denver, Carbondale, and Las Vegas. They work on a variety of projects ranging from parks and recreation, schools, playgrounds, urban design/planning, public facilities, infrastructure, and streetscapes. The Denver office has approximately 25 employees, with an accounting team of four. The team-focused environment offers flexibility in scheduling, with core hours from 9 AM to 3 PM and on Fridays from 9 AM to 1 PM. Employees can create their schedules outside of these core hours. Any hours worked over 42 in a week are banked for PTO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $36.05
