• Interface with the Owner, Contractor, and inspection staff on various facets of the project including review of contract plans and documents, day-to day construction activities and review of contractors’ submittals.
• Perform/oversee the review of daily inspection reports and quantity computations.
• Respondents should have intimate working knowledge of FDOT District 4.
• Receives general instructions regarding assignments and is expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems.
• Directs and assigns specific tasks to inspectors and assists in all phases of the construction project
• Responsible for the progress and final estimates throughout the construction project duration.
What you will bring to our firm: A Civil Engineering degree plus two (2) years of engineering experience in construction of major road or bridge structuresFor non-degreed personnel eight (8) years of responsible and related engineering experience, two (2) years of which involved construction of major road or bridge structures except for Complex Category 2 (CC2) bridge structures. To be in primary control, a Project Administrator must have supervised two or more inspectors as well as two or more support staff (Office Manager, Compliance Officer, and Secretary) and must have been directly responsible for all CEI services assignedCTQP Final Estimates Level IIFDOT Advanced MOTAttend CTQP Quality Control Manager Course and pass the examination.A Master's Degree in Engineering may be substituted for one (1) year of engineering experience Compensation:The range for this position is salary range is $90,000 - $110,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
