Project Administrator - Laser Weapons
General Atomics (GA), and its affiliated companies, is one of the world’s leading resources for high-technology systems development ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless and laser technologies. We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Administrator to support our Laser programs located in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The Laser business unit is focused on the design, development, fabrication and integration of high energy laser weapons systems and advanced sensors that provide targeting, tracking and identification functionality. 

With limited direction, this position is responsible for the administration of operational aspects of ongoing projects.  Exercising judgment within broadly defined practices and precedents, develops plans to ensure that activities achieve desired results, initiates and plans project(s), and develops project design and schedule to meet overall objectives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Administers daily operational aspects of one or more ongoing projects; develops, designs and schedules project plan; may be assigned project leadership.Integrates and analyzes project plans to ensure milestones and delivery requirements are met; ensures that all the key parties are advised.Evaluates and interprets factors then selects the method and technique with which to analyze data and situations and develops new or innovative solutions; influences and guides on appropriate action(s) to be taken.Develops new concepts, techniques, standards, practices and procedures to ensure operational effectiveness.Develops appropriate electronic and hard copy reports and records.Participates in changes/updates/modifications to policies and practices.Represent the organization as a prime contact with outside organizations; makes internal and external presentations as required.Provides direction to support and less experienced professional staff.Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.Performs other duties as assigned.Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.
