This position offers the opportunity to perform and direct field studies, desktop reviews, technical studies, and project permitting to a variety of projects. As a Project Archaeologist/Principal Investigator with Terracon, you will be responsible for: + Generating proposals with scope of work and cost estimates. + Preparing Cultural Resources Desktop Reviews. + Conducting archaeological field evaluations, as well as directing and supervising field staff during such evaluations. + Assisting more senior level scientists on larger, more complex projects. + Coordinating with clients and sub-consultants. + Consulting with state and federal agencies, tribal groups, and other stakeholders. + Performing National Register evaluations for archaeological sites. + Preparation of written reports. Requirements/Preferences: + Graduate degree (MA, MS, PhD) in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the practice.
