Project Architect
Job Title: Project Architect Job Description We are a community-based practice dedicated to crafting solutions and building trust with our clients through a culture of design excellence. Our studio environment fosters collaborative participation in all our projects, from inception through closeout. We are looking for positive, innovative, and detail-oriented design professionals to join our team. The ideal candidates will have 6-10 years of experience managing publicly funded K-12, Higher Education, Municipal, and Civic work. The function of this position is to oversee all aspects of multiple small to mid-sized projects and prepare strategic plans for project success. Responsibilities + Serve as the primary client liaison to bring work to completion. + Actively manage project design and communication in compliance with project budget, schedule, and program. + Prepare strategic plans for project success, monitor project progress and profitability, direct workload and project staff. + Responsible for all project documentation including drawings, specifications, and presentation images. + Research and implement codes, guidelines, and standards for accurate incorporation into the design. + Coordinate and collaborate with team members, owner’s stakeholders, governing bodies, and construction community. + Proactively navigate project issues, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions to solve them. + Direct and manage Construction Administration services, including site inspections and site meetings. + Direct project closeout administration and documentation. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture required. + Licensed or on path for licensure preferred. + Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, Masterspec, Revit, CAD, Microsoft Office required. + Strong organization and time management prowess. + Strong design, graphic, and presentation competence. + Experience facilitating and presenting at public meetings and forums. + Experience in writing reports, business correspondence, fee proposals, schedules, and work plans. + Expert in all aspects and phases of the architectural production process. + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate meetings with the client and project staff. + Thorough knowledge of North Carolina code requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficiency in SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign preferred. + Civic/Community/Public Safety Experience + K-12 Experience + Client Coordination + Strong Design and Presentation Skills Work Environment Our office is located in Raleigh and has roughly 29 individuals. The office environment includes both office and cubicle spaces with the flexibility to work from home.
