Project Architect
Job Title: Project ArchitectJob Description Qualified candidates hold a degree in architecture from an accredited university with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project coordination. The ideal candidate is familiar with all phases of design, construction documentation, and construction observation. Candidates must be proficient in Revit with the ability to produce construction documents. Presentation skills including 3D renderings and walk-through animation are a plus. Responsibilities + Develop designs for high-quality healthcare projects + Maintain client, vendor, and consultant relationships + Prepare renderings and documentation for client presentation Essential Skills + Healthcare project experience or relatable commercial projects + Core & Shell / Base Building Experience + 5+ years of professional experience + Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design + Ability to obtain a license with a plan to do so in the near future + Proficiency in Revit with the ability to produce full construction document sets independently + Involvement in all phases from Schematic Design to Construction Administration Additional Skills & Qualifications + Healthcare, Construction Documentation, Conceptual Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document, Design, Construction Drawings, Project Management, Drafting, Production Work Environment The current team consists of 22 people spread across various locations including Easton and Summit, NJ. This hybrid position requires the candidate to be based in northern New Jersey due to project locations. The consultant will travel to job sites 1-2 days a week in New Jersey, New York, and Long Island. Once a week, the consultant will meet in a shared office space in a convenient location. The office will relocate to either East Brunswick or Somerset area in September. Candidates must be able to commute to both locations. Despite working in a small office environment, there will be significant collaboration with other offices as resources and projects are shared. The projects are primarily healthcare-related with 80% renovation and 20% core and shell. The firm is also exploring opportunities in the K-12 sector. The work schedule includes the ability to work from home one day a week, preferably on Fridays, with summer hours of 9 AM to 5 PM Monday through Thursday and ending at noon on Fridays. The firm offers a Safe Harbor 401k plan with a 3% contribution regardless of employee contribution. Additionally, the firm supports licensure by paying for exams and offers a faster ownership track due to its small size.
