Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Architect to lead the production of deliverable documents throughout the various project phases. The ideal candidate will review documents for quality control, supervise project staff, and ensure compliance with project procedures. This role requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining project schedules and standards.
ResponsibilitiesLead the production of deliverable documents throughout the SD, DD, CD, and CA phases.Review documents for quality control evaluations and ensure ongoing compliance with Project Document Procedures.Supervise project staff and direct their work effectively.Adhere to the project schedule developed by the Project Manager and advise on any issues that may affect the timeline.Organize meetings with clients, produce minutes, and action items to maintain the project schedule.Review and coordinate the design documents of consultants, provide feedback, and ensure systems are appropriate for the intended use and construction budget.Meet with suppliers and vendors for product research relative to projects.Manage the CA phase work, attend project meetings, and produce Field Observation Reports to document construction progress.Seek out new design and construction methods to ensure Best Practices.Ensure the project network structure adheres to firm standards.Document all major decisions that are inconsistent with firm recommendations or changes in scope.Assist the Project Manager with PM responsibilities as requested.Essential SkillsProficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for housing/multi-family projects (100+ units).Experience in architecture, multifamily, senior living, and large-scale commercial design.Expertise in construction documentation and construction administration.Proven experience supporting mixed-use, housing, and multi-family projects.Additional Skills & QualificationsArchitectural degree.NCARB (Licensed Architect) preferred.Work Environment
The work environment includes 5 studios with 75 employees in Baltimore. Our projects range from housing (MF & Senior Living) spanning Chicago to Connecticut and DMV areas, to interiors, graphics & signage, commercial (retail, shell, interiors, restaurants), and international projects focusing on master planning and conceptual schematics. Our office is located in a Class A office space in the 100 N Charles Tower on the 18th floor, offering a panoramic view of the city. Architects have the opportunity to work across different studios based on workload while having a 'home base' studio. This dynamic work environment fosters professional growth and engagement with exciting projects.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $50.00
