Job Title: Project Architect

Job Description

As a Project Architect, you will perform code reviews, ensure compliance with project budgets and schedules, and select, evaluate, and implement design components used in projects. You will evaluate existing conditions and formulate responses to challenges, handle significant aspects of larger projects, and manage daily design and technical development. Additionally, you will supervise and produce Construction Documents through CAD and BIM, coordinate and perform QA/QC on consultants’ work, and manage construction administration for select projects. Advanced knowledge of construction techniques and material selection is essential, as is the ability to maintain project files and communicate project tasks effectively to clients and team members.

The firm consists of 25 people, including 4 principals (3 of whom are active). The office embodies a 'work hard, play hard' culture with team outings, bagel Fridays, and happy hours. The day-to-day environment can be fast-paced and hectic at times. You will work on a fair amount of new construction projects for schools and office buildings that require steel frame construction. Knowledge of building codes and public sector experience is beneficial due to bidding and contractor requirements. The position offers a hybrid schedule after 90 days, half-day Fridays, support for licensing exams, AXP credits towards licensure, opportunities for advancement, performance bonuses, and family nights and community involvement events.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $110000.00/yr.

benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance**, paid group life insurance, and short term
and long-term disability. You will be eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance upon commencement of
employment, and the balance of the benefits after successfully completing the 90-day probationary period.
Your PTO will accrue for the full calendar year as follows: 10 accrued vacation days, 5 accrued sick days, 2
accrued personal days, and nine (9) paid holidays. We offer flexible hours and a hybrid work setting after the
initial 90-day probationary period. SSP offers a voluntary 401(k) profit sharing plan as well as an employerfunded 3% safe harbor profit sharing plan; participation would begin after you have completed the plan’s
eligibility period of 1 year and 1,000 hours of employment. Participation starts on the next available enrollment
date after the eligibility period.
