Job Description
We are seeking an Intermediate Project Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the project team in developing design drawings, construction documents, and coordinating drawings. This role requires a strong understanding of construction materials, standards, and codes, as well as proficiency in REVIT. You will be responsible for coordinating with project consultants, conducting site surveys, and performing construction administration duties.
Responsibilities
+ Support the project team in development of design drawings, construction documents, and drawing coordination.
+ Coordinate working drawings with project consultants.
+ Perform and coordinate site surveys, prepare due diligence reports, and building code reviews.
+ Interpret design concepts by partnering with the Design Team and translate them into workable construction drawings, evaluate alternatives to develop solutions, and maintain quality technical and design control.
+ Perform Construction Administration duties, including site visits, RFI’s, shop drawing and change order reviews. Travel may be required.
+ Coordinate and communicate regularly with project managers, consultants, and team members regarding project status. Ensure work meets clients’ requirements and is completed within schedule and budget.
+ May work with clients to confirm objectives and formulate options. May prepare and conduct design and technical presentations for team and/or clients.
+ May participate in marketing efforts, including presentations.
Essential Skills
+ 4-10 years professional experience.
+ Bachelor or Master Degree in Architecture or equivalent.
+ Experience in Workplace, Retail, or Media/Broadcast preferred.
+ Extensive experience in developing Design & Construction Documents.
+ Ability to coordinate and lead the work of architecture & design staff and consultants.
+ Thorough knowledge of construction materials, standards, and codes.
+ Onsite construction field experience required.
+ Ability to conceptualize a project schedule, and meet project deadlines.
+ Proficiency in REVIT. Hand sketching ability is a plus.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills with clients, consultants, internal team, and contractors.
+ Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
+ Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail.
+ Ability to consistently meet deadlines, completing tasks as previously defined.
+ Ability to work with integrity, trust, and commitment, setting an example for others.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Licensed Architect or pursuit of license highly preferred.
+ Experience working on high-end workplace or media projects (gaming company).
+ Experience in high-end interiors, not big box retail or basic/standard aesthetic of design.
Work Environment
Hybrid office schedule with 4 days in the office and Fridays at home. Must be available for client meetings or site visits as required on Fridays. The firm has a casual dress code, with people usually wearing jeans to work. The office environment is very collaborative and respectful, with partners who are hands-on and easy to talk to. The office promotes a flexible and supportive atmosphere, with occasional overtime. The firm also enjoys social activities like Margarita Fridays or Wine and Cheese Fridays in the winter.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
