SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for leading and managing projects and initiatives driven by MUSO (*) Operations. It is also responsible for coordinating Operations users’ tasks for large-scale projects managed by other divisions such as AITD or EPMO.
The Unit’s activities do not only pertain to Mizuho Bank Ltd. (BK) New York Branch, but they also encompass Mizuho U.S. Operations (MUSO) as well as other non-U.S. BK subsidiaries and branches.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1) Project Management
Align the bank’s general business targets with the project’s objectives and outcomesDefine the project’s scopeIdentify and involve required resourcesCreate budget and revenue estimatesDevelop WBS and set milestones and deadlinesCreate a detailed project plan and other project documentsCoordinate the project team throughout all project management phasesEnsure that all team members have the required information and resources to carry out their tasks effectivelyIdentify and escalate issues to managementProvide solutions to issuesAssign, prioritize, and track the progress of project tasksImplement and manage changesIdentify, prevent, and manage risksEnsure timely delivery of defined deliverables and their adherence to quality standardsManage communication with stakeholdersReport project status to stakeholdersEffectively moderate meetingsPerform any other relevant, project-related duties when needed2) User Coordination for Projects Managed by Others
Closely communicate with PMO and understand users’ responsibilities and tasksIdentify and involve required Operations resourcesCoordinate actions among Operations resourcesTrack and report the progress of assigned tasksIdentify and escalate issues to managementProvide solutions to issuesEnsure timely delivery of defined deliverables and their adherence to quality standards3) Administrative Duties
Assist Unit Head with various administrative tasks as deemed necessary.
4) Policy:
Obtain a basic understanding of the applicable rules and regulations that govern the Bank. Understand that all questions and/or clarification about such rules and regulations should be directed to Americas Legal and Compliance Division. Read and respond as necessary to all compliance-related reference and directive materials received. Comply with the Bank’s “Code of Conduct”.Follow all the policies and procedures of the bank that are applicable to the position.
