Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Assistant.

In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the collection of data entry under the supervision of a clinical research associate, assistant research scientist or coordinator within the Center for Clinical Research in the Department of Orthopedics at NYU Langone Orthopedics Hospital. Project assistants will manage data collection specific to research studies including but not limited to the performance of observational measurements for low risk studies, collection of clinical data from patients directly and other duties as put forth in the protocol. Project assistants will spearhead efforts to meet patient enrollment targets related to independent research studies as well as developing and implementing various recruitment strategies. The Project Assistant is part of a research team, compliant with all regulatory, institutional and departmental requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

Provides support in the Hand Division through managing the logistics of CME courses and coordinating content for academic meetings and conferences. Performs other duties as assigned. Maintains equipment and computer resources. Video-editing of surgical videos Performs moderate data analysis Compiles information and assists with preparation of abstracts and manuscripts. Gathers, receives, reconciles and consolidates data Coordinate research efforts with and between faculty/staff (e.g. scheduling appointments, tracking, supervising surveys, preparing presentations, etc.) Assist with the design, development and dissemination of research projects; coordinate research proposal development and manage the research proposal process; assist with proper data collection to maintain and improve the effectiveness of the research projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365
Strong analytical ability, critical thinking, and proactive problem-solving skills
Must be organized, detailed-orientated, dependable and flexible
Have excellent oral/written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding design and implementation

Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in a related field with 2 Years of related experience in an office setting is preferred.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $42,100.00-$50,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
