Job Summary (Position Summary):
This position is primarily responsible for customer communication and outreach efforts surrounding capital construction activities and projects, with supplemental analytical support of key existing Customer Relations programs and metrics to achieve Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing goals and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Capital Construction Communication Outreach – Coordinate, execute and maintain outreach and communications activities such as all stakeholder mailings (property owners, AOC/AOP marketing mailings, customer meter relocation letters, etc.) for Capital Construction projects, including gathering mailing lists from Engineering/Operations project managers and coordinating fulfillment with Office Services to print and mail according to the outreach plan. Act as the communications lead, both internally and externally, including monitoring external-facing construction email inbox; providing response to customer inquiries, gathering information from internal sources as needed; and collaborating with appropriate personnel to generate press and media releases. Capital Construction Collateral Management and Creation – Develop materials, as needed and in collaboration with UGI Marketing personnel (handouts, door hangers, letters, project signage etc.), to execute a schedule of communications in support of mailings, meetings, and presentations. Conduct outreach (via phone and /or in person) to key stakeholders to inform them of upcoming / ongoing construction work in their area and develop and manage a plan of communications to meet project expectations and schedule commitments. Capital Construction Data Management – Attend status meetings with Engineering, Capital Construction and Operations teams (as needed) to stay abreast of project statuses and timelines while researching and offering guidance on trends in sensitive customer issues, and specific stakeholder or municipal concerns. Utilize UGI’s SAP CRM system for tracking and logging of communications at the customer account level and provide insights to leadership around efficiencies of internal and external teams’ timely and on-plan execution of work. Create leads in the Lead Tracking System based on responses to marketing mailings. Customer Relations Support – Provide support for various existing Customer Relations programs, as needed and at the direction of leadership, including but not limited to the New Business Activation program, annual budget preparation and tracking, customer experience data analyses, class changes, business continuity exercises, etc.. Maintain and update, with input from team members, department tracking files and internal databases. Additional Support - Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Solid working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel skills such as working with mail merges and simple formulas, sorting, file manipulation Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work with multiple departments simultaneously Experience running reports out of reporting systems such as SAP BOBJ Knowledge of accounting principles and treatments
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related field preferred Minimum 3 years utilities industry, project management, or communications experience in lieu of education preferred
