Project Control Analyst

Five Rivers Services is looking for a Project Control Analyst III to join our team.
You will be responsible for all Project Control-related activities, supporting Project Management located in multiple time zones, and handle a portfolio with multiple funding/revenue types (Fixed Price, Cost Plus, Units, etc).
**Responsibilities**
+ Prepare, edit, and organize documents, reports, presentations, and spreadsheets as needed for management and other departments.
+ Assistance with Reporting: presentations for management, highlighting trends, status, and any potential issues requiring attention.
+ Assists Project Managers in all duties related to financial and performance, planning, tracking, and reporting.
+ Initiates, monitors and maintains proper project setup in Deltek Costpoint via completion and submission of a project setup form
Budgeting and financial analysis:
+ Develops project cost/schedule baselines and budgets
+ Proactively monitors project reports, actuals, and timecards to resolves issues in a timely manner
+ Monitors outstanding project commitments
+ Develops monthly project financial forecasts/EACs and conducts variance analysis
+ Monitors the project’s burn rate against funding remaining
+ Communicates project status and findings to Project Management staff biweekly and Supervisor and Finance staff monthly
+ Documents project status for month-end close reviews
+ Ensure accuracy of project-related expense reports and ensure timely processing
Project A/R and A/P:
+ Ensure subcontract/vendor payments are processed correctly and in timely fashion
+ Provide customer specific invoice backup
+ Monitor billing and payment status of customer invoices
+ Perform unbilled analysis and monthly accrual calculations
+ Assists PM with invoice collection
+ Track contractual obligations and deliverables
Assists project team with:
+ Work authorizations
+ Identifying and analyzing project risk
+ Development and execution of internal and external project reviews
+ Initiating Purchase Requisitions and goods receipts in Deltek Costpoint’s Procurement module
+ Generation and analysis of financial reports
+ Communicating timecard and expense practices for the project
+ Customer invoice review and approval prior to submission
+ Funding notifications to the customer (i.e. 75% letters)
+ Contract Closeouts
Contracts / Pricing:
+ Review and analyze contract, subcontracts, and agreements to ensure project meets financial and reporting requirements
+ Assistance with pricing and historical data collection
+ Responsible for the development and submission of quarterly unbilled analysis packages
+ Oversee / assist with project closeout activities
+ Maintain project files on SharePoint including contracts & contact modifications, subcontracts, proposals, budgets & plans, schedules, project review materials, reports, deliverables, invoices, leases and agreements.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field preferred.
+ 3 years’ experience providing project accounting support for services contracts for Govt. customers.
+ Ability to work independently, self-motivated, proactive.
+ Track record of delivering well-organized and accurate work.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Proven ability to work well with accounting, contracts, and project personnel to accomplish tasks.
+ Strong Excel skills to include VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and PivotTables.
+ Experience using Deltek Cost Point.
+ Understand of EACs, ETCs, and unbilled analysis.
+ **This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Herndon, VA**
