Project Control Officer, Global Risk Management Requisition ID: 216997 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. _This is a 24 month full-time contract._ The Project Control Officer is assigned work by the Program Director/Senior Project Manager, support of Global Risk Management (GRM). Under the direct supervision of the Program Director/Senior Project Manager, the Project Control Officer assumes project support responsibility for all aspects of the project over the entire project life cycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close). To effectively support the project, the Project Control Officer must understand the project scope and objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member. The position requires good knowledge of project management tools and methods, and an understanding of client life cycle development methodologies. The Project Control Officer is responsible for adherence to project management and other IT&S standards, promoting innovative or improved methods to get the work done and implementing best practices. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential. **Is this role right for you? In this role, you will have the following accountabilities:** + **Project Documentation:** Maintain project files, including documentation, approvals, drawdowns, spreadsheets, meeting minutes, monthly status reports, third-party contracts, and other correspondence and documentation as appropriate. + **Budget Management:** Audit items to be delivered under projects, review weekly and monthly time tracking reports for anomalies, ensure all invoices have been approved with proper sign-offs prior to payment, and ensure drawdowns are properly recorded. Maintain ongoing cost-to-complete forecasts, including full reconciliation of the project budget and completing investigations for differences as they occur. + **Project Secretariat:** Prepare and distribute agendas, attend meetings, prepare and distribute clear and detailed minutes on a timely basis, record, communicate, and follow up on action items, and maintain project distribution lists. + **Support Project Manager:** Ensure all appropriate areas are represented on the project team and maintain project momentum against a background of constantly conflicting priorities. Multitask on several projects at one time, depending on complexity and activities in progress. + **Project Documentation and Costing:** Formally document and cost project activities using the Microsoft Project tool. Define development activities at sufficient detail levels (not to exceed 10 workday increments and not to detail less than 4 hours). Communicate project status, complete agreed-on project reports, and escalate issues to the Program Manager or Senior Project Manager as required. **Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed?
