Project Controls Coordinator

Stantec is looking for a Project Controls Coordinator to join our Environmental Services Team. As a key role within the Project Support team, Project Controls Coordinators provide essential financial and administrative support on a portfolio of projects ranging in size.  The ideal candidates are self-starters looking to be part of dynamic and growing team offering significant opportunities for mentorship and growth.  We are committed to fostering a culture of inclusion, empowerment and thought leadership.

Your Responsibilities
Preparing and project  transaction reports and distributing to the project team
Tracking and updating opportunities in Stantec’s CRM database.
Providing support with project budgets and change orders. 
Assisting with review, routing, and execution of client contracts and change orders.
Completing project setup forms for new projects based on the client contract, budget, and work breakdown structure.
Reviewing project charges and coordinating corrections with accounting as needed to facilitate timely and accurate client invoicing, as directed by project manager.
Preparing subcontracts and task orders as requested by the project manager.
Coding and routing subconsultant invoices for approval, tracking subconsultant budgets.
Providing various financial and contract-related reporting to project team and clients
Assisting Project Manager with follow up on past-due invoices as needed.
Supporting Project Managers and Project Controls Leads with other duties as required. Your Qualifications and Credentials
Excellent communication, time-management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with clients, contractors, and staff at all levels.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically desired: advanced expertise in MS Excel)
Experience with ERP and other Financial/Cost systems (Oracle, etc.) is preferred.
Detail-oriented and resourceful, ability to learn new programs and concepts quickly.
Positive attitude with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
Solid time management and follow-through skills to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to see the “big picture” and use common sense to make decisions.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
A minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in consulting or engineering

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Additional Information Salary Range(s): Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s): Location Description: Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CO, HI, MD and IL Min Pay Range: $27 Per Hour Max Pay Range: $37 Per Hour Note: The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
