Caddell **Project Controls Engineer/Scheduler** Montgomery, AL 36104 **Job Title –** Project Controls Engineer/Scheduler – Governmental **Location –** Various domestic locations **Project site:** Elmore County, Alabama **Resumes are reviewed as submitted and staffed based on project need.** **Rewards of Working at Caddell – Paid vacations, company paid holidays, company joint funding of medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability plans to full-time employees, 401k, gym membership reimbursement, and use of company condominiums.** **What You Will Do** + The Project Controls Engineer (PCE) is a member of the project team comprised of Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, Quality and Safety personnel. The PCE is responsible for performing all project controls tasks required for the construction of a large, multi-building compound. Project controls responsibilities include project schedule development, updating, analysis, reporting, and change management. + Review the plans and specifications to become knowledgeable of project scope. + Review contract language to become knowledgeable of project controls-related requirements. + Develop the project schedule in coordination with the project team and subcontractors; collect data for schedule activities, logic, activity durations, and resource requirements. + Monitor and record onsite construction progress to produce periodic schedule reports. Engage with the project team to ensure accuracy of recorded progress. + Monitor and record performance of engineering, preconstruction, and procurement activities to produce periodic schedule reports. Access internal reports, project management software, and engage with the project team to ensure accuracy of recorded progress. + Prepare updates and schedule reports in accordance with the specifications. Ensure reports are submitted in a timely manner. + Review the schedule and identify any adjustments in scope, activities, duration, and/or logic necessary to reflect the current and planned performance of work. Discuss potential schedule revisions with the project team. Document proposed revisions for submission to the Client. + Prepare monthly schedule reports to support invoicing. Ensure reports are prepared in a timely manner. Engage with the project team to support the invoicing process. + Track all potential changes impacting the project identified by the project team or issued by the Client. Coordinate with the project team to document and preserve all correspondence and records related to potential changes. + Produce schedule “fragnets” and time impact analyses (TIA) for the purposes of demonstrating schedule delays. + Perform additional project controls related tasks/assignments as needed to support the project. + **Working Conditions** – Full time, construction setting. Must have the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for longs periods of time, lift and hold in excess of 50lbs, talk, hear and sit. Must have the ability to withstand confined spaces and or/extreme heights while performing tasks at hand in a safe manner to themselves and/or others. Demonstrated ability using Primavera (P6) software and understanding of critical path method (CPM). Ability to communicate professionally with Client representatives, project team members, and subcontractors/trade partners. Attention to detail and organizational skills are critical. While the salary range is typically between $78,600- $118,000 annually, applicants are encouraged to share compensation expectations as part of the application process. Caddell honors prior experience, education, and qualifications of applicants in order to make attractive and competitive offers. **Education / Experience –** Minimum high school diploma/GED. Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering preferred. Project controls experience on at least two previous projects of comparable type, scope, and/or value.
