The ideal candidate has a proven track record of performing construction quality control audits, providing cost control recovery plans, maintaining cost systems, and providing monthly cost reports.  They thrive in a fast paced and a team oriented environment.    They get excited about construction projects as well as completing assignments on time.  An individual who will do well in this position is self oriented, organized, a great communicator, and approachable.   Comfortable working within a team environment at the project site in Los Angeles. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS Create/open new cost codes within the existing work breakdown and project coding structures for control and integrity of work defined by the contract. Recommend solutions or recovery plans to schedule or cost impact or delays. Maintain the cost system and provide required reports. Analyze variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan, and communicate the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management. Manage the change management process. Prepare reports from HCSS for and facilitate weekly cost review meetings with construction team. Facilitate preparation of the monthly report for the Owner. Provide meaningful, accurate historical data. Participate in internal and external audits. Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines. Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff. PERKS OF JOINING JLM
