Project Controls Specialist
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Project Controls Specialist based in Juno Beach, Florida. As part of our team, you will primarily focus on the preparation of financial and operating reports at the site level and assist with various accounting activities. This role is crucial in ensuring the proper consolidation and reporting of all project entities, as well as maintaining SOX compliance and preparing tax provisions quarterly. Responsibilities: • Prepare financial and operating reports with minimal supervision. • Assist with daily accounting activities for the project site. • Ensure the accurate preparation of journal entries. • Confirm proper consolidation and reporting of all project entities. • Maintain compliance with Sarbanes Oxley 404 guidelines. • Prepare tax provisions on a quarterly basis and ensure timely reporting. • Administer and interpret accounting policies applicable to the project site. • Forecast financial trends for the site. • Perform ad hoc financial procedures as necessary. • Oversee the onboarding of new staff members and supervise their activities. Requirements • Possess a strong understanding of Project Control procedures • Proficiency in creating and managing reports • Experience in supervising team members and coordinating tasks • Familiarity with onboarding new employees and training them for their roles • Ability to perform ad hoc financial analyses as needed • Experience in forecasting financial outcomes and making necessary adjustments • Strong understanding of accounting principles and journal entries • Competency in managing staffing needs and consolidations • Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and manage relationships • Knowledge of commission functions and how they apply to the business • Willingness to work onsite as required • Experience with managing expense accounts and ensuring accuracy • Familiarity with entity formation and its implications for the business • CPA certification is highly desirable • Ability to work with different business units and understand their financial needs • Experience in creating and implementing validation plans • Proficiency in language interpretation to facilitate communication in a diverse work environment • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and their application in a business context • Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley 404 Compliance and its implications for the business • Strong understanding of project control principles and methodologies • Experience in managing tax provisions and ensuring compliance • Knowledge of NIS and its application in a business setting.
