Project Controls Specialist
Job Description

This Project Controls Specialist will support all aspects of project controls and reporting, including project change management, cost control, progress measurement, schedule development, and schedule control. The selected candidate can work in either Bloomington, MN, or Duluth, MN, with no remote/hybrid opportunities. Travel is required up to 20% within the local Twin Cities, MN area. The position is eligible for a flexible 9/80 schedule upon approval.

ResponsibilitiesAssist with project set-up in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software.Input data, maintain logs, and run reports in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software or other tools.Assist with creating Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).Assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts on small projects.Follow project execution plans.Assist with reviewing and approving Purchase Orders for proper coding.Input and document changes to cost reports or forecasts.Assist with upstream (prime contract) and downstream (purchase order & subcontract) change orders.Assist with the development of a cash flow.Assist in the development of various levels of schedules.Assist in applying logic ties within the schedule.Assist with resource loading of a schedule.Coordinate project schedules and develop scheduling reports.Retrieve, review, and distribute pre-programmed scheduling reports along with back-up documentation.Update and document schedule progress.Develop and maintain an earned value management system.Verify progress measurements.Develop and maintain progress curves.Assist with material takeoffs.Perform quality checks and inspections on project controls deliverables.Conduct field audits to validate accuracy of reporting and processes.Perform other duties as assigned.Comply with all policies and standards.Essential SkillsExperience with Oracle Primavera P6.Proficient with Microsoft Office.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field OR applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.High School Degree with a minimum of 4 to 7 years of relevant project controls experience.Associate's Degree with relevant project controls experience.Bachelor's Degree (unrelated field) with a minimum of 1 to 4 years of relevant project controls experience.OSHA 10-hour safety certification.Ability to obtain EEO/Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans status.Work Environment

The work environment is based in either the Bloomington, MN or Duluth, MN office. The candidate must specify which location they are applying for on their resume. The role requires 20% travel within the local Twin Cities, MN area. The position may offer a flexible 9/80 schedule after an initial period, subject to managerial approval and discretion. This is not a remote or hybrid position, and the candidate must comply with all company policies and standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $36.00
