Project Controls Specialist II

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be part of a Project Controls Team supporting planning, cost and schedule activities for a portfolio of projects or a major project managed by Logistics & Storage Support Services (L3S).  Position will be responsible for schedule development and progress monitoring; cost management and forecasting into the overall project plan; and preparation of periodic progress reporting to management.  Position will be required to analyze schedules submitted by contractors to ensure conformity with agreed contract and milestones.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Work with project leaders to establish an initial project schedule and review initial cost data.
•    Manage project(s) for alignment with department metrics.
•    Progress analysis and reporting to proactively identify potential variances between planned and actual.  
•    Identify spend that is at risk and manage the associated budget impact.
•    Execute monthly accrual and cash flow forecasting processes.
•    Develop, maintain and report on change management. 
•    L3S project liaison with Finance & Accounting (F&A), Tax, Business Planning & Analysis (BP&A), and Supply Chain.
•    Ensures financial compliance with guidance set forth by the Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) and Budget processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•    Required Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Accounting, Business or related discipline.
•    Work Environment: Travel to field locations or fabrication sites will be required; therefore, a valid driver's license is required.
•    Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of individuals/employees. Strong Excel skills also required.  Experience with MS Project or Primavera beneficial. 
•    Work Experience: more than five (5+) years' experience preferred (either construction Project Management, Project Controls, or Accounting & Finance).


LOCATION & TRAVEL REQUIRED:
Based in Findlay, OH, Salt Lake City, UT or La Palma, CA.

Travel up to 20%, including some overnight travel. We offer a hybrid work schedule.
