The Role

The purpose of the Project Coordination Lead is to coordinate OST Engineers and Technology Project Engineers, whilst delivering onsite small works and technology projects. Working closely with the Projects & Service Teams with an equal focus on both departments, you will oversee scheduling resources for both projects and service while managing the holiday and sickness requests for the OST team. This role will involve collaborating closely with the service desk, sales team and the Technology Operations Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

Project Coordination Planning, scheduling, and allocating resources for small works projects and IT services Using reports and logs to identify and manage risk to the project Preparing and providing project updates to customers to ensure they are informed of any changes or issues that may arise OST Coordination Coordinating the OST & Projects teams to ensure tasks are prioritised and completed within required timeframes Working closely with the OST & Projects teams to ensure customer/project requirements are met within budget, on time, and to the required quality standards Overseeing the allocation and scheduling of OST Engineers for IT services Team Leadership Handling team holiday requests and sickness to ensure there is always adequate coverage Overseeing the scheduling, coordination, job bookings etc. for OSTs, small works, etc. Coordinating training for team members Relationship Management Working closely with the Technology Management Team to ensure projects are in alignment with strategic goals Collaborating with customers/end users across the organisation to gather project information required Managing customers' expectations to ensure realistic timeframes are agreed and then adhered to Attending meetings as required with the Technology Management Team to ensure alignment from IT Services on a whole is met successfully Contacting customers within agreed timeframes to discuss the progress of work agreed and reviewing services

Person Specification

Essential

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an MSP Able to demonstrate leading a team/colleagues Able to demonstrate project management skills, with experience in managing multiple jobs/workloads simultaneously Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills Proficient in project management software Knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure Ability to prioritise tasks and delegate when appropriate ILM 2

 

Desirable

ITIL certification Project Management Qualification or experience

Working Conditions

 

Working from our open plan Gloucester Head Office. This role requires working with company systems, using multiple screens and IT packages so the role is mainly desk based. The role may require you to occasionally travel to client sites.
