Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Coordinator.

The Project Coordinator will work in the Division of Comparative Effectiveness and Decision Science in the Department of Population Health, to provide research and administrative support to a mathematical modeling team specializing in modeling some of the worlds highest-burden infectious diseases (HIV, malaria, COVID-19, TB) and co-occurring non-communicable health conditions such as mental disorders, and the impact climate change on different populations in various regions around the world. This is a dynamic position contributing to the research portfolio of the Principal Investigator, Anna Bershteyn, PhD.

A successful applicant will be able to work independently with diverse colleagues and staff at all levels, and comfortable in the academic medical center environment.

Job Responsibilities:

With supervision from the PI and project manager, coordinate projects while working/communicating with internal and external stakeholders to organize and coordinate the various components needed to initiate, run and conclude project activities. 

Organize in-person and remote meetings and workshops, provide logistical and technical support, develop agenda, maintain and disseminate detailed meeting minutes, and follow-up on action items. 

Assist the team in daily administrative operations, including manage and maintain calendars, arrange travel for study team members, prepare and process travel and expense reports, onboard vendors, contractors, non-traditional volunteers, and sponsored individuals, oversee purchase requisition and issue and track payments, submit and track invoices for contractors and sub-award recipients, and other administrative tasks as requested. 

Assist in grants related activities such as developing grants applications/proposals, collecting and organizing required paperwork for submission if required for the grant. Prepare standard progress reports for research sponsors. 

Update and maintain databases, facilitate regular data checking and quality assurance, and assist with data analysis. 

Perform literature reviews and data synthesis in support of research aims. 

Play an active role in dissemination of findings, including preparation of manuscripts, reports, and presentations. 

Assist with management of study regulatory tasks, such as preparation of materials for Institutional Review Board and data safety monitoring. 

Participates in special projects and events, and performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications.
Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to Project/Program manage and to multi task while paying attention to details.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with literature review and data synthesis, data collection and analysis.
Topic familiarity with HIV, COVID-19, other infectious diseases, mental health, or health economic
evaluation.
Proficiency in programming language for data manipulation and statistical computing (e.g., R, STATA).
Proficiency in data collection and management software (e.g., REDCap).
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., ClickUp)

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 – $63,600.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
