Job Description

R360 Environmental Solutions Canada, an affiliate of Waste Connections, offers a wide variety of waste treatment and management services to clients in the energy, environmental and industrial sectors. These services are delivered via our broad network of facilities, featuring specialized equipment and assets focused on the safe management of industrial waste streams. We boast 30 high-quality environmental waste and water management assets strategically located in key geographic Canadian oil & gas production and development basins. With a focus on safety, innovation, and environmental stewardship, R360 is equipped to treat, process, recover, recycle, and dispose of waste and other materials safely and cost-effectively for our customers.

Job Purpose

The Project Coordinator is a key collaborative member of the Technical Services team primarily supporting capital project execution. This individual has direct involvement with project stakeholders and support teams to coordinate project scope, budget, schedule, risk, and opportunity development from project conception through to completion. The successful candidate will be energetic and highly organized, working in a highly collaborative multidisciplinary technical team. This individual will work closely with our Operations group to build and maintain a positive, fun, and entrepreneurial culture that is strong and vibrant.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Collaborate with Project Managers and project stakeholders to create a plan to achieve successful project execution, delivery, and handoff to OperationsAssist Project Managers with the development and management of project scope, schedule, and costAssist Project Managers with project change order managementProvide support to the Technical Services team members and maintain communication with Senior Leaders with respect to project statusAttend and actively participate in project planning sessions, update meetings, closeouts, and lookback analysisCoordination and management of the Management of Change (MOC) systemAssist project team in the coordination and management of capital planning, project forecasting, and analysisWork closely with Regulatory, Safety, and Operations teams

Qualifications/Competencies

The individual in this role will have:

Engineer In Training (EIT), Engineering Technologist, or equivalentA minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in project controls or project administrationThe ability to work collaboratively and communicate with varied stakeholders and groupsAbility to develop relationships within a project settingStrong writing skills for the development of clear and concise project planning documentsA detail oriented approach to project planning and executionProficiency in the use of MS Office 365: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, SharePoint, DocuSign and Outlook
