The Idaho Transportation Department is hiring aProject Coordinator located in District 3 Boise, ID. This position will coordinate project delivery and provide support for the Planning, Scoping and Environmental Services Team. This position will prepare project charters, prepare CAD drawings, coordinate project schedules, create project folders, prepare Agreements and Administer projects. This position will also serve as the Railroad Operation and Safety Team (ROAST) member for District 3. This position is responsible for selecting, reviewing, evaluating, and recommending candidate rail safety projects that are included in the State Transportation Investment Program (STIP). This position is responsible for the timely and successful delivery of all District 3 rail safety projects.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
+ Develop and provide training to various stakeholders
+ Respond to public inquiry requests and safety concerns
+ Prepare Project scope of work, project estimates and project schedules
+ Prepare CAD Drawings
+ Prepare Cooperative Agreements
+ Set up Project Folders
+ Coordinates with District Teams on projects that include rail crossings
+ District 3 Railroad point of contact for all INPRR, UPRR & BVRR coordination and communication
+ Analyzes complex technical data
+ Consults with and provides problem solving assistance to Team members
+ Plans, facilitates, and conducts meetings
+ Prepares Cooperative Agreements
+ Administers Professional Services Agreements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
+ Planning and implementing projects
+ Developing, promoting, and gaining project support
+ Interpreting and explaining specialized or complex material into information usable by the public
Desired Qualifications
Training in or a good understanding of:
+ Plans and specifications
+ Customer service
+ Temporary traffic control
+ Technical writing
+ Valid Driver's License
+ Strong written and oral communication skills
+ Strong history of working independently with little supervision
+ Experience interpreting and explaining specialized or complex material into information that is usable and understandable to the public
+ Experience interpreting and applying federal, state and local laws and working with state and local Agencies
