Tasks/Responsibilities:

Become a liaison between Customer and MET from all ‘non technical’ aspects of each assigned project.  In doing so, the project coordinator should be proactive in creating a 'win-win' situations and minimizing unnecessary back and forth between the customer and the lab.Work with Laboratory Manager(s) (as applicable) to develop creative scheduling strategies to fit the customer’s needs and to ensure that any obstacles to project completion are removed quickly and efficiently.Responsible for monitoring and maintaining all aspects of client satisfaction and maintaining optimum scheduling of testing facilities.Manage the full scope of client projects once a signed proposal or order is received by Sales to ensure that client requirements are met in a timely manner.Communicate project status to clients and manage expectations during the project period.Maintain ongoing communication with Sales team to ensure that all client issues are understood and addressed in a timely manner.Maintain & update METrak in accordance with formal trainingBring closure to all assigned jobs that have been inactive for greater than 3 monthsReports/Closures: Every 2 weeks, run a report of all jobs that are On Hold, Awaiting Start, Failing, etc. and follow up with the customer to get an update on a start/return date to bring projects to closure.Solicit feedback from each assigned customer during and after each job. Toggle for Billing jobs that the engineers provide and update direct report of progressReceptionist duties, as needed

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.Experienced computer literacy, database management, effective oral/written communication, basic project management skills.Ability to follow written procedures and follow basic safety guidelines and given instructions.Ability to supervise a difficult schedule and complete tasks, correctly and on time.Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Competencies:

Experienced computer literacy, database management, technical writing, effective oral/written communication, basic project management skills, read/interpret standards, schematics, and other technical documentation, basic electrical measurements, create/implement test procedures, supervise technicians, and Jr. Engineers, where requiredAbility to supervise a difficult schedule and complete paperwork, correctly and on time.Write procedures, as needed to support, testing activities.Knowledge of review methods, rules of relevant regulatory agencies.

 

Reporting:

This position reports directly to the Director of East Coast Safety.  Assigned Project Coordinator(s) will report directly to the Technical Laboratory Coordinator.
