Project Coordinator
Description TEKsystems currently has a need for a Project Coordinator. This person will provide additional support the the PMO in maintaining portfolio, backlog and new request for our client. We are seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator to assist in the planning, execution, and completion of projects. This role involves working with the PMO Team and coordinating with various stakeholders, managing resources, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of project management principles. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with management and stakeholders. • Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day activities of project teams, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and within scope. • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals. • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, documentation, and presentations to various stakeholders. • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. • Work with the project team to continually improve processes and methodologies. Key Responsibilities • Project Planning and Scheduling: Aid in developing project plans, schedules, and milestones in collaboration with project manager and team members. • Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, ensuring that team members have the tools and support they need to complete tasks. • Communication: Work closely with the PM for project-related communication, facilitating meetings, and ensuring that stakeholders are informed of progress and any issues. • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and change requests. • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and work with the project team to develop mitigation strategies. • Budget Management: Assist the PM by monitoring project budgets, track expenditure, and create reports on financial performance. Support: Provide support to project managers and team members as needed, including troubleshooting issues and providing training or guidance. • Assist the PMO to maintain the project backlog and ensure accuracy in project metadata. • Help create and maintain PMO dashboards in JIRA/Confluence. Qualifications • Education: College degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in project coordination or a similar role, preferably within the IT industry. • Technical Skills: Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello), as well as familiarity with IT concepts and technologies. • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with keen attention to detail. • Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of identifying issues and developing effective solutions in a timely manner. • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and build positive working relationships. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
