Position and Responsibilities OverviewContact vendors, verify supplies, manage supply requisition, and communicate with suppliers to determine expected delivery dates and inform management of potential delaysMonitor project material delivery timelines against production scheduleReview and track all ordersLook for ways to decrease shipping timeSolve any issues related to shipping delaysBuild trusted working relationships with team members and vendor partnersSolve missing information for the receiving departmentMaintain and update procurement logs with delivery dates, tracking information, and status updates.Communicate regularly with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and address potential delays.Work with suppliers to mitigate risks of delayed shipments and identify alternative solutions when necessary.Escalate and resolve issues that may impact project timelines or budgets.Assist with quoting materials by gathering and analyzing supplier information.Reconcile invoices to ensure alignment with purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.Collaborate with project managers, warehouse staff, and other departments to meet operational needs.Assist in placing orders to ensure the best pricing, delivery, and value on majority of orders.Enter purchase orders accurately into Company management systems.Proper identification of materials and accuracy is imperative.Liaise and rectify purchase order errors or corrections with Accounts Payable.Ensure accuracy of purchase orders to allow for purchase discounts with vendors.Verify and report on price changes on purchase orders.Update vendor information files. QualificationsPersonable: Dedicated to strong relationships with vendors and employees, with excellent communication skills, is inspirational and able to lead people through genuine affiliation and persuasion.Effective communicator: Able to clearly articulate the vision and plan, provide direct and clear feedback and able to positively influence others.Energetic and strong: Enthusiastic individual who is tough with fire in the belly; willing to do what it takes; able to endure uncertainty and challenges, is creative and flexible enough to change course when necessary.Insatiably curious: Life-long learner, who constantly seeks new knowledge, engages in self-improvement, smart and focused on what matters.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Familiarity with supply chain processes and an understanding of materials management principles.Problem-solving skills to address and resolve delays or procurement issues.Previous experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a related field is preferredCompany Benefits Comprehensive medical plans with HSA and FSA options for you and your family.Generous 401(k) plan with immediate company match – 100% vested.Dental and vision insurance for your well-being.Short-term and long-term disability plans available after one year.Company provided life insurance and AD&D with options for supplemental buy-ups.Enjoy paid time off and holidays.Get paid weekly for your convenience.
