The Basic Sciences Division is one of six scientific Divisions at Fred Hutch and is comprised of 30 faculty-led laboratories whose research is focused on understanding the normal molecular functioning of cells as well as the disruption that causes cancer and infectious diseases.
The Division is recruiting a Project Coordinator I. The Project Coordinator will work closely with Division administration leads, Research Administrators, and central administration partners to provide division operations administrative support. This position will serve as coordinator for various general administrative tasks and is an ideal opportunity for someone that enjoys collaborative work, has great organization and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and an interest in supporting research.
ResponsibilitiesGeneral job responsibilities:
Assist with procurement of goods and services to support division operationsProcess reimbursement requests for travel and other expenses Travel arrangement support and coordination Building bulletin board curation and management Mailing list maintenance, physical mail sorting, and processing mailstop changes Submitting Facilities work orders for building and/or equipment related requestsCoordination of building emergency-related processes and tasks Back-up support for division space and facilities operationsTriage incoming requests for central division operation inboxTeam building activities planning and facilitation Central calendar management and updatesPurchasing card expense reconciliation and management for division Billing support for shared division expenses Basic personnel onboarding and offboarding tasks Maintain up-to-date division personnel listsWebsite updatesUpdate membership to Division Microsoft Teams site Support non-exempt employees time sheet reportingClerical aspects of pre and post award activities as directed, such as gathering documents, assisting with completion of content, acquiring signatures and formatting contentFacilitate updates to faculty CVsOther duties as assignedA cover letter is required for this position.
QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS in related field or equivalent experience requiredMinimum of one year post-master’s or three years post-bachelor’s project coordination experience in a research settingStrong written and oral communication skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The hourly pay range for this position is from $31.21 to $46.80 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
