Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator/Inside Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage project coordination, develop proposals, and ensure smooth communication with key clients. This role requires a strong understanding of project management and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
ResponsibilitiesReview RFPs and requirements for contract modifications and new contractsLead internal estimating efforts using a standard spreadsheet integrated with ERPDevelop technical and commercial proposalsNegotiate and discuss proposals with clients, making necessary updatesReview orders and conduct kickoff meetings for operations and accountingMaintain commercial communications with key clients via phone, text, chime, and emailConduct job costing reviews with the Project Manager and General ManagerEssential SkillsProficiency in project managementStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office and ExcelExperience with project coordination and purchase ordersExcellent communication and writing skillsAbility to multitask and possess strong organizational and planning skillsExperience with ERP systemsAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's or Associate's degree in mechanical engineering or related field from an accredited university, or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 3-5 years of project management or related technical experienceKnowledge of conveyors and industrial equipmentExperience in obtaining construction permits is a plusStrong business acumen and ability to build basic spreadsheets for estimatesFinancial sense and ability to analyze project budgetsEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to build strong relationships with engineering groups, customers, suppliers, and subcontractorsDetail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlinesSelf-managed and a team playerAbility to climb ladders and lift 50 lb boxesTrack record of successWork Environment
This position is onsite at the Columbia, MD location and reports directly to the Engineering Manager. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The role requires full onsite presence with exceptions for personal circumstances.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.84 - $40.87
