Project Coordinator - Lumberjack Learning Commons Bookmark this Posting Print Preview | Apply for this Job Posting Details Position Information Job Title Project Coordinator - Lumberjack Learning Commons Full Time/Part Time Full Time FLSA Exempt General Job Description This is a professional position responsible for performing complex project analysis, project management, training, and communication functions. Responsible for providing analysis and recommendations on existing and proposed projects, serving in a project management capacity, and providing best practices recommendations. Works under general supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Executive Director. Essential Job Functions 1. Administers assigned projects to ensure successful implementation and stakeholder engagement according to departmental, divisional, and institutional needs. 2. Coordinates or assists in the coordination of multiple projects necessary for the achievement of departmental, divisional, and institutional goals and objectives. 3. Designs and recommends improvement schedules for prospective and established projects and solutions according to departmental, divisional, and institutional needs. 4. Analyzes institutional literacy levels and requirements and recommends training, communication, or other actions for established or developing support programs and processes. 5. Facilitates and/or provides training for successful project implementation and maintenance according to departmental, divisional, and institutional needs. 6. Engages with internal and external constituents to coordinate project implementation and maintenance. 7. Evaluates, monitors, and recommends budget requirements for departmental and divisional projects or programs as assigned. 8. Communicates project statuses and needs to appropriate team leadership. 9. Organizes and maintains administrative schedules, records, and reports as required for the appropriate department heads and offices being served. Non-Essential Job Functions 1. Serves and/or consults on divisional and university committees as needed. 2. Attends professional meetings, seminars, and training as needed. 3. Performs other related duties as assigned. Skill in public speaking and delivering presentations to individuals and groups. 8. Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail. 9. Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize, prioritize objectives, and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities. 10. Ability to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend effective solutions. 11. Ability to accurately manage and evaluate detail-oriented activities and information. 12. Ability to exhibit a professional demeanor and strong customer service orientation. 13. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. 14. Ability to establish and maintain a good rapport with university administration, faculty, staff, and the general public. 15. Ability to work effectively within a complex organizational structure. 16. Ability to work with and maintain confidential information. 17. Ability to learn office and university-specific software. Physical Demands Required Education Bachelor’s degree is required. Required Experience and Training Three years of related experience is required. Additional education may substitute for experience on a basis set forth by the Department of Human Resources. Preferred Qualifications Experience in higher education procedures, information technology, business processes, and/or the integration of cross-functional administrative areas is preferred. Supervisory or team management experience is preferred. Professional project management certification or credentialing is preferred. Special Conditions for Eligibility This is a security-sensitive position subject to criminal record check. This is an IT-sensitive position subject to the Computer and Network Security policy. Min Pay Rate Mid Pay Rate Salary Information Salary Grade - 8 Specific Job Requirements/Duties for this Posting The Lumberjack Learning Commons is located in the Division of Academic Affairs and consists of the following departments: Academic Assistance and Resource Center ( AARC ), Center for Teaching and Learning ( CTL ), Office of International Programs ( OIP ), Student Success Center ( SSC ), Center for Professional and Continuing Education ( PACE ), and SFA Makerspace. Yes Benefit and Retirement Eligibility This position is eligible for participation in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas ( TRS ) retirement plan, subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
