Project Coordinator - Modernization
**Job Description** BAE Systems, one of the world's largest defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 Company, is hiring Project Specialists to work closely with a Program Manager to ensure industrial construction projects are on schedule, on budget and executed safely. This position is part of a team that knows a little extra effort is needed, but enjoys a balance between work and home life. The Project Specialist will report to a designated Program Manager. Primary responsibility will be monitoring and providing status for various modernization / construction projects. Person will also conduct project reviews in order to identify risks and to aide in coordination of overall execution. Specific duties and responsibilities of this position include the following: 1. Management Meetings. Take part in schedule and risk discussions for all assigned projects in upper management meetings and in customer briefings/presentations. Will be responsible for the development of presentation documents as well as documenting meeting minutes and actions. 2. Projects Monitoring. Work with project teams to monitor all projects with regard to scheduling and sequencing. Also responsible for organization and tracking of recovery plan if program falls behind. Other duties may include but not limited to: o Task sequencing o Risks/Opportunities Management o Engineering resource planning / scheduling o Construction Progress / Construction Monitoring o Packaging information for distribution to various audiences o Projects Reporting. Provides regular reports to the PMO Manager on all projects he/she is responsible for. o Solves complex technical problems by providing leadership for developing project plans and their implementation. o Communicates summaries and recommendations to the Project Manager based on project assessments. Foresees difficulties and reacts to communicate and avoid misunderstanding. o Sequence & schedule the project work elements and determine the resources required for each work element. 3. Proposal Development. Work with proposal team in the development of proposals for various modernization programs. BAE Systems helps protect those who protect us. Learn more about this area of our business at www.baesystems.com/OSIjobs . **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** Technical Associates Degree with 4 years related experience or High School Diploma or GED with 8 years related experience required. o Must have a background in industrial construction programs with regards to oversight, general inspections, and quality control o Must have a high level of attention to detail along with good organizational skills o Knowledge of typical industrial construction work tasks o Capable of reading and understanding drawings, specifications, and other engineering documents o Experience with supervision of craftsmen o Familiar with Environmental and Safety awareness for construction sites o Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Internet **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** o Training / certifications in technical trades o Training / certifications with regards to Quality Control o Familiar with Microsoft Project o AutoCAD Experience o Familiar with local building codes and OSHA standards o Experience with chemical manufacturing or DOD projects a plus **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $70735 - $120250 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
