The overall objective of this position is to ensure all financial aspects of Projects are managed in accordance with GAAP and execute on the billings to ensure positive cash flows for the Organization. Ensure Projects are setup in ERP based on customer PO and adjust for any change orders **Job Title:** Project Accountant **Location:** Belle Chasse, Louisiana, 70037 **What’s the Job?** + Review open jobs with Project Managers and Invoice Projects based on billing milestones defined in customer contracts + Review Project Performance based on actual costs incurred in comparison to budget to ensure appropriate percentage of completion is recognized + Partner with Project Management on a weekly basis to ensure project performance reflects project estimates + Prepare WIP file and revenue recognition accounting entries for month end close in accordance with GAAP + Prepare WIP entries associated to projects for unbilled and deferred revenue for month end close + Submit Customer Invoices to Customer portals and verify they are accepted to ensure payment based on customer terms, investigate circumstances of non-payment, negotiating and escalating issues, expediting payments **What’s Needed?** + Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment + Project Account experience + 3+ years as a Staff Accountant + Experience using Excel to develop complex models + Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Required. _*A complete job description will be provided._ If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
