Project Cost Accountant - ARB, Inc.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Cost Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be part of Project Controls Department in collecting, reporting and analyzing payroll, equipment and third-party data from a variety of projects. The individual will assist Project Controls Department in the overall billing cycle of projects from initiating billings in Viewpoint to posting billings in Viewpoint. The successful candidate will collaborate with project managers, project controls associates, and other stakeholders to ensure that project payroll, equipment and third-party information is collected and reported accurately. The ideal candidate will have some experience in project billing, payroll reporting, and be familiar with working with labor unions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collect weekly Union & Admin timesheets Key in Labor, Equipment & third-party vendor commitments in excel Verify, reconcile, code and approve vendor invoices in financial system (pVault) and log invoices in Excel. Submit labor timesheets to the Payroll Department Submit equipment timesheets to the Equipment Department Sort, scan and file timesheets, and Receivers for multiple projects daily Conduct weekly job Compilation of backup to prepare for billing packages and change order packages. Prepare billing packages and their entry to financial system Assist project site with onboarding employees; ordering equipment from dispatch, ordering office supplies and/or materials. Other project controls duties as assigned.This is an onsite, field assignment which means that the position would be located at one of our project sites in the Los Angeles basin

A positive “I’ll do anything to help out” attitude Must have strong organization skills, have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment with Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) Possess strong communication skills (written/verbal) with the ability to interface with diverse levels of personnel. Ability to take direction, prioritize, multi-task, and work under time Ability to work in team environment, as well as Variable working hours from 40 – 60 hours a week based on project schedule.Comp/Benefits
