Project Cost Analyst

Project Cost Specialist AP1000 is responsible for the ongoing development and delivery and support to cost and reporting processes for the AP1000 projects execution in particular for implementation of correct cost and reporting control. This role is focused on the responsibility to deliver standard data structures across the AP1000 Project and the analysis of WEC business data with strict adherence to established contractual agreements of the projects. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive standardization and streamlining of processes in line with implemented PMO reporting practices and systems.


Responsibilities:

Maintain and update data in various project controls systems (SAP, Prism, ARM, Power Bi) Complete cost reports updates, costs reports, tasks  updates from Project Managers and other stakeholders in accordance with established Project processes and KPIs Analyze, interpret and review data entered to ensure a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness including participation in data clean up initiatives to improve data quality and governance  Prepare, cost reports and monitor cost and commitment to budget. Analyze data to establish the differences in initial estimates and final project costs Prepare EVM metric reports in line with established PMO and project processes Responsibilities may include processes, working independently with limited supervision Lead ad hoc meetings, calls etc. with limited supervision, liaison with consortium partner and Client. Process Improvement, identify gaps and opportunities to improve the process and implementation. Take proactive steps to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions with limited supervision  Create and update job aids to align with current process Mentor, coach and train staff - provide mentorship and support to less experienced colleagues, helping them develop their skills and understanding of complex tasks including preparation and delivery of internal trainings Participate in internal audit – review the work of lower-level professionals Cooperate with EPMO and Business Units to introduce process improvements within the Project Management community. Think beyond immediate tasks to consider the broader implications of work performed on the wider team and internal organization's goals  Support the team leaders in communicating strategy, updates in processes, best practices and expectations. Maintain a positive, can-do attitude even when faced with challenges  Handle complex issues with a calm, solution-oriented approach often acting as go-to person for difficult problems Drive clear communication - articulate ideas, instructions and feedback clearly and concisely to colleagues and stakeholders also raising issues Team support - foster a collaborative environment by being approachable, supportive, and willing to share knowledge and resources Uphold the highest standards of ethics and professionalism, serving as a role model for others Drive standardization and streamlining of processes  Prepare adhoc reports for team leaders  Problems faced could be difficult and sometimes complex

 

 

Requirements:

B.A., B.S. in Business or Finance 1-3 years of global experience Knowledge of Westinghouse and the industry Proven track record with respect to knowledge of financial processes, project controls, and associated improvement programs and EVM. A general understanding of Westinghouse systems and data quality needs Excellent communication and presentation skills.  Ability to operate effectively in a team environment. Experience in  Power Industry EPC Project execution would be preferable. Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities, manage time and multi-task Ability to show initiative, good judgment and resourcefulness Detail oriented with a problem-solving mindset and ability to meet deadlines and be results oriented Desire to produce accurate, high-quality work with attention to details Proficient in  SAP, Power BI and , MS Office, and other software packages Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to changing project needs in evolving situations Continuous improvement mindset Process driven with a quality focus Driver sense of urgency Business acumen
