Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Cost Analyst to join our team. As a Cost Analyst, you will coordinate project cost analysis and controls, support project managers, and oversee cost reporting for multiple projects.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate project meetings and work with project team members on project activities.Support project managers in the preparation and updating of project documentation and planning.Assist with preparing forecasts of project spending and cash flows, budget variance monitoring, and cost tracking/analysis.Provide analysis and verification for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) activities as needed.Collaborate with project management and other vested parties to perform variance reporting and establish original baseline budgets.Perform departmental organizational functions to ensure smooth operation of project functions.Assist in the contracting process, including bidding activities and cost analysis.Communicate with project team resources and other internal and external stakeholders on various budgetary items.Develop and compile Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that are measurable outcomes.Respond to customer/vendor inquiries, resolve work order issues, and implement action plans.Understand and adhere to project management organizational standards and governance.Coordinate work activities of others within the workgroup or external contractors and vendors to resolve routine technical tasks and field work activities.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree with one year of experience or Associate's degree with three years of experience in a related field such as Business, Construction Management, or Project Management.Experience in utility-specific operations with knowledge of work processes and procedures.Experience in operations, planning, project management, cost tracking analysis, forecasting, and project budgets.Ability to manage time effectively and demonstrate organizational and planning skills.Aptitude for accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to achieve goals.Basic technical knowledge related to writing and verbal communication.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Additional Skills & QualificationsExposure to corporate accounting and project cost management systems, construction environments, earned value management, and scheduling systems is preferred but not required.Demonstrate an attitude and desire to listen to and satisfy both internal and external customers.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.50/hr.
