Project Cost Control_HO

Ensure the transfer of the Approved Budget to the Cost Management System to form the basis of future monitoring and control.                       

Establish Cost Control structure and Design Budget Elements which describe the full structure to be used in the Cost Control System and that align into the WBS, taking into consideration the interface with the Project Planning function, where applicable.               

Oversee the timely collection, analysis and reporting of all project expenditure, together with the budget holders.                        

Review the Project Monthly Status Report.                 

Control and verify the project costs through all phases of a project, in close cooperation with Project Manager, Construction Manager and Leads of different Disciplines.                  

Setting-up Work Break-down Structure together with the Project Manager/ Lead Planner.               

Ensure timely generation and review of Cost Reports, Variance reports and Cashflow statements                 

Ensure timely generation of Change Alerts, review Change Impact, Approve PDNs and review Change Log              

Review and approve Cost Close-out report and Benchmarking data               

Document Cost Reporting & Control procedures for the project                     

Support development of Cost Control Engineer by reviewing & explaining specific cost control process and requirement of the budgets they follow.                     

Interact and coordinate with the Project Control Manager / Project Head / Lead Planner / Cost Control Engineer.                      

Ensure effective project implementation and utilize productive reports from the creation of WBS with the use of project management system to monitor the status of all purchases & invoicing up to the closure of the project.                         

Coordinate with IT team and provide BDD to enable digitization of Cost Control Processes               

Educational Qualification:                               

Degree in Engineering with specialization in Project Management or Cost Control related training. Masters degree would be preferred.                              

Experiences:                             

Candidate must have 16-20 years of experience in Petrochemical/Chemical/Oil&Gas/EPC Industry.                          

Experience in preparation of Progress Reports and Cost Report Budgeting.                           

Ability to estimate Job Cost, Develop Risk Analysis, Cash Flow Analysis.                                 

Able to accurately forecast and track project cost and control schedule.
