Job Title: Project Cost Engineer/Estimator - Process (High Purity/Bulk Gas) Location: Sunnyvale, CA Job Description: iParametrics is seeking an experienced Project Cost Engineer/Estimator specialized in process systems for high-purity and bulk gas projects. This role supports mission-critical construction projects in Sunnyvale, CA, where precision and efficiency are paramount. The Project Cost Engineer/Estimator will be responsible for cost control, estimation, forecasting, and risk analysis in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with subcontractors, vendors, and project teams Responsibilities: + Establish and maintain job cost reports, including budgets, forecasts, commitments, and contingency management. + Conduct detailed cost tracking and analysis by bid package, change orders, and other specific project elements. + Interpret design and construction documentation to quantify materials and accurately assess project needs. + Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to validate cost proposals, ensuring alignment with contract terms. + Perform monthly cost report reconciliations and monitor project indicators. + Conduct quantity take-offs to support subcontractor proposal validation and develop cost authorization packages. + Generate clear, organized material summaries for project analysis. + Ensure process piping and high-purity gas systems meet budget and schedule requirements, supporting system startup and commissioning. Qualifications: Education: + High School diploma or GED required. + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. + Strong educational foundation in materials and methods of construction. Experience: + Minimum of three (3) years of cost estimation and management experience in high-purity or bulk gas systems within the construction industry. + Experience with semiconductor or advanced manufacturing facility projects is highly desired. + Strong background in cost analysis, budget management, and third-party cost validation. + Proficient in managing subcontractor estimates, reviewing change orders, and negotiating costs with subcontractors and vendors. Skills: + Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams) and familiarity with project management software like Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Primavera Project Planner (P6). + Competence in design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. + Ability to interpret complex design and construction documents accurately. + Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a proactive approach to managing changing project schedules and priorities. + Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, maintaining professionalism under pressure. + Flexibility to work extended hours or off-shift as needed to accommodate project timelines. Benefits/Compensation: As a W2 employee of iParametrics, team members are eligible for benefits such as medical, dental and vision, and the company matching 401K plan, subject to plan terms and applicable waiting periods.
