Project Delivery Analyst-Data Engineer
Position Summary

As an experienced Project Delivery Analyst – Data Engineer you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as a consultant without the extensive demands of travel. Work you’ll do/Responsibilities  

Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain data processing pipelines with multiple end point downstream integrations (Kafka, Webservices, File systems etc).Conduct data profiling of data sources and develop source-to-target mapping documents as per downstream application needs.Create functional specification documentation to include business requirements, mapping documents (source to target, data models, data dictionary etc).Create technical documentation providing detailed description of processes, frameworks, best practices, operational support.Collaborate across multiple client teams such as product owners, platform & infra, SORs, engineering and operations.Develop test cases and test plans required for unit testing and integration testing. Triage defects and resolve them based on defined SLAs.Identify and escalate any issues or risks that may impact project delivery.

Qualifications

Required

Apache Kafka, Java Messaging, Java Programming, Java REST webservice, JSON, Python programming, Git, Control-M, XML, SQL3+ years of overall experience in software development using core Java and/or Python33+ years of Java design principles, patterns, Java standard edition and restful API development3+ years of writing SQL/PLSQL queries3+ years of experience working with file formats such as JSONs & XMLs2+ year of experience working with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ3+ years of experience with code repositories(Git), build tools (using Gradle or Maven) and DevOps CI/CD tools (Gitlab or Jenkins)3+ years of experience working with the open-source Java ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks3+ years of experience working with Agile & Scrum development experienceStrong understanding of IaaS/PaaS/SaaSExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experienceMust live in a commutable distance to McLean, VA or willing to relocate as this is a hybrid work model and one must work at the client site in McLean 2-3 days a week as needed.Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serveLimited immigration sponsorship maybe available.
