Project Delivery IT Support
**Project Delivery IT Support** **6 Month Fixed Term Contract** **Full Time** **Role Purpose** To support delivery of the PSTN and PDQ migration programme across UK & NI retail Partner Stores. This is a remote role requiring extensive travel within the UK. **Key Accountabilities** • Assist with store IT provisioning • Install patch leads as required • Install and setup ISP supplied router • Install unmanaged network switch (connect cables between switch and peripherals) • Install a small mounting cradle on a counter and feed cables through countertop into a network switch • Install of card machine (PDQ) and associated connections • Be a point of contact for BT Openreach appointments and advise of where Openreach need to complete their works • Liaise with our partners for ongoing in building connectivity for Openreach • Attend weekly progress calls and highlight any issues/concerns back into the business • Support and imbed any other facilities related activities as required by the business • Provide solutions to any challenges that may arise in respect to a related tasks • Manage Travel expenses in line with Company policy, including milage, overnight accommodation and flights (where applicable) **Key Relationships** Establish and maintain effective relationships with all functions supporting the Geographic Trading Area to ensure efficient and cohesive ways of working. These include but not limited to: • Telecoms • EUC • Partner Facilities • Internal Facilities • Internal Operations **Experience & Skills** • Working with telecoms 1308 copper cabling and DP’s • Working with Cat5 structured cabling and patching • Knowledge of SOGEA and FTTP circuits and their termination • Knowledge of a basic internet router installation and configuration • Knowledge of basic Voice Over IP telephone connectivity • Able to test internet connectivity via an ISP network router • General understanding of card payment machine connectivity (PDQ’s) • A understanding of business practices, products and services • An excellent understanding of business policies, procedures and processes • Demonstrated overall operational excellence including administration, attention to detail and management of a multitude of tasks • Communication in English language is essential • 3rd party supplier management experience • Project management experience would be an advantage • Full UK Car Driving License **Personal Attributes** Leadership & Management • Self-aware, open-minded with a high degree of personal and professional integrity. • Flexible to travel as a matter of routine to work with the team on the ground. The role will require extension travel within Mainland UK and Northern Ireland. • Frequent overnight stays required. • Excellent influencing and communications skills and high levels of personal confidence and self-sufficiency. Commercial acumen • Strong commercial acumen and ability to apply solid commercial judgment in their area of expertise. • Protect the business by ensuring compliance to procedures, managing risks and escalating where appropriate to protect the reputational integrity of Travelex.
