Project Design Engineer

Our client, a leading equipment manufacturer with over 50 years of industry expertise, is seeking a Project Design Engineer to join their team. They specialize in designing and manufacturing equipment for a variety of industries and are deeply committed to the success of their customers and employees.
As a Project Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and supporting the development of both new and existing products. You will manage key projects from concept to completion, ensuring technical and financial feasibility while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead innovation initiatives for new and existing products.Manage all aspects of assigned projects, including pre-sale support, solution design and proposals, manufacturing support, logistics, and commissioning.Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring alignment with technical and financial goals.Develop and maintain project timelines, adhering to established engineering design processes.Create and maintain accurate 3D models, drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), sub-assemblies, and assembly drawings for new and existing products.Prepare and manage manufacturing documentation, including material specifications and order customizations.Verify that design drawings meet all specifications and design data.Provide production and purchasing support, including material specifications and vendor collaboration for custom modifications.Prepare and update manuals, product documentation, and custom project sheets.Ensure effective communication and collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.2–5 years of experience in equipment design within a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in 2D and 3D modelling software (Inventor and AutoCAD preferred).Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on problem-solving skills.Advanced knowledge of MS Office; experience with ERP systems is an asset.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a customer-focused mindset.Compensation:
