Project Design Technology Manager

Your Role

We are seeking a Project Design Technology Manager to join our London office. In this role, you are the technology heartbeat of the project(s) you are on. A critical multifaceted role that provides technical leadership, strategic value and deep tactical expertise in the design technology and digital project delivery space enabling the team(s) you support and aligning with project and client priorities / requirements.

You will use your soft skills, relationship building and technical expertise to drive with confidence process innovation, optimization and digital workflows / platforms creation and implementation in partnership with your fellow project members and in collaboration with the Regional Design Technology Team. Ultimately, we believe that this role is a key contributor to delivering the highest value and best outcomes to our clients.

What You Will Do

Lead the development of Design Technology strategy and workflows on your projectsEstablish, Implement and ensure adherence to the UK BIM Framework Standards – BS EN ISO 19650-1&2, BS 8541-1:2012, including Uniclass 2015 & COBie deliveryDevelop an Information Exchange and Design Collaboration Strategy [ Internal / External ]Monitor project digital data metrics and support the team in accordance to performanceIdentify, resolve and coach project team members on Model(s) PerformancesEstablish, communicate, and interpret changes in best practices and protocolsAlign Design Technology strategy / priorities of each project with client / project specific needsDevelop and Implement multi-authoring platform solutions to support project needsPartner and collaborate with all DT peers at the studio, office, region and firm levelsRepresent the project team with all of our partners: design, engineering and construction firmsIdentify workflows, tools, and efficiencies that will bring value-proposition to our projectsResearch innovative solutions and co-create with partners continuously in support of projects

Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction and/or equivalent training and experience in the AEC / Building IndustryExtensive experience in Design Technology support / BIM Management RolesDocumented experience on complex projects leading Design Technology ScopeExpert knowledge in developing and overseeing BIM, Design and Construction CoordinationExpert knowledge in the UK BIM Framework BS EN ISO 19650-1&2 Standards Implementation including Uniclass 2015 & COBie deliveryExpert knowledge of Autodesk Revit ArchitectureExpert knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks, BIM 360 GlueExpert knowledge of Digital Integration / Collaboration Platforms like BIM-360 EcosystemExpert knowledge of BIM360 Document Management & CollaborationAdvanced knowledge of Dynamo is preferredAdvanced knowledge of VU City is preferredFamiliarity with design applications such as Rhino, Grasshopper, V-Ray, 3DS Max, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, etc. is a big plusArticulate communicator, able to convey design technology concepts to all levels of design, consultants and clientsPunctual, able to adhere to deadlines, have a strong work ethic and superb organizational skillsCreative thinker, innovative and able to win the hearts / minds of stakeholders to drive change-management in the project design cycle
