** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Project Development Engineer to fill a one- year assignment in the Birmingham, AL area.


This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.

Job Title: Project Development Engineer 

Work Location: Birmingham, AL 

Requirements:

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. 10-15 years of progressive experience in project development and management, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects. Expertise in project management methodologies, software, and tools. In-depth knowledge of industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a team.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Lead the development of strategic project plans, objectives, and scope, aligning them with the organization's goals and client requirements.
Feasibility Assessment: Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments to evaluate project viability and potential challenges.
Design and Development: Oversee the project design phase, working closely with engineers and designers to create detailed project plans, specifications, and blueprints.
Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate and manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal project execution. Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and control project budgets, tracking expenditures and implementing cost-saving measures when necessary.
Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality control measures to ensure that project deliverables adhere to the highest quality standards and specifications.
Risk Mitigation: Identify and proactively address potential project risks, developing risk mitigation strategies to maintain project progress.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that projects comply with all relevant regulations, permits, and legal requirements, obtaining necessary approvals and permits.
Stakeholder Management: Maintain transparent communication with project stakeholders, including clients, team members, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
Project Monitoring: Continuously track project progress, identify any deviations, delays, or issues, and take corrective actions to keep projects on schedule.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and clients.
