Product Development Engineer

System One is currently seeking a Product Development Engineer on a 12 month contract position located in Birmingham, AL.
Product Development Engineer Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate various aspects of project development. This includes project planning, design, budgeting, and execution, with a focus on ensuring that projects are completed successfully and in accordance with established quality and time standards. Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and requirements. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets. Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate project viability, potential risks, and return on investment. Oversee the design phase, working with engineers and designers to create detailed project plans, specifications, and blueprints. Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient project execution. Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and make adjustments to stay within budgetary constraints. Implement quality control measures to ensure that project deliverables meet the required standards and specifications. Identify potential project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to address challenges and maintain project progress. Ensure that projects adhere to all relevant regulations, permits, and legal requirements. Maintain open and transparent communication with project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and contractors. Monitor project progress, identify any delays or issues, and take corrective actions to keep projects on schedule. Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to management and clients.
Product Development Engineer Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. 5-10 years (level 2) or 10-15 years (level 3) of experience in project development, with a proven track record of managing successful projects. Strong project management skills, including the ability to create and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

$60 (level 2)
