These positions offer the potential for project management bonuses and require experience with capture management, major projects, fluent English/Spanish is highly desirable, 20 years relevant experience with significant project management experience in EPC/EPCM.
General Purpose of Role
Provides direction and project management to ensure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations. Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of customer objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies.
Global Level Summary
Typically manages a single major project or multiple, complex projects/programs. Ability to visualize and design new concepts and ideas related to technical/functional projects; Broad knowledge of business operations and ability to implement and sometimes lead organizational change effectively within project scope; Solutions are derived from interpreted and applied general information and consultation with other individuals. Typically manages work directly through project leads or other project managers.
Decision Making
Makes independent decisions and recommendations in the course of managing multiple functional disciplines, one larger functional discipline, or a significant size project. Decisions are for long-range planning, coordination, and technical decisions that can be either specific and/or far-reaching. Develops and oversees implementation of strategic programs and policies for their groups, which may impact the region, location or large project; Ability to manage multiple complex projects through others; Works frequently with location and regional management on significant matters influencing the business results.
Supervision Received
Operates with broad management authority, receiving minimal technical guidance and control. Limited only by project objectives and policies of the organization. Work is reviewed to ensure project direction meets client standards.
Supervision Authority
Has direct and indirect reports and has authority for performance evaluations impacting pay. Makes decisions as to the selection, training, discipline and remuneration of staff. Assigns policy framework, long-term mission and vision. Gives administrative direction to subordinate supervision, and contact with the work force is normally through such levels rather than direct.
Communication
Effectively communicate and present complex proposals and reports to senior level management. Ability to persuade and influence others. Participative management style with a cooperative team approach.
Systems, Processes & Tools
Expert understanding of broader systems, processes and tools related to field. Able to teach and help others. May be involved in the development of new systems, processes and tools.
*Engineering degree or technical equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience, 20 years relevant experience with significant project management experience, major projects, fluent English/Spanish is highly desirable.
