Posting Number NONAC3425 Job Title Project Director Position Title Project Director Position Type Non-Faculty Number of vacancies 1 Salary Commensurate with experience Department Clinical Rsch Ctr-CRC Position Summary The Clinical Project Director is responsible for overall management of research and program projects under the direction of the Associate Director. Supervises project team members; oversees project implementation, manages reporting and monitoring and evaluation of the projects. Develops, implements, and supports the research process by assisting investigators on study design, completion of the approval process, and management of data specific to the study. Responsible for development of process for management of reporting as required by funding agency.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor grant progress, oversee finance and ensure grant project deliverables are completed. Responsible for operational duties related to daily finance, personnel, and administration of PI awards. Participates in developing proposals. Conducts pre-award activities related to procuring grants and other extramural awards. Set up budget accounts for all new funding and continued funding. Process budget re-allocation in research grants and make budget projections at the request of faculty and in agreement agency regulations and MSM policies. Responsible for the development and formulation of the annual budget; prepares budgetary documents and reports; oversees other budgetary data and information of the program. Audit expenses and encumbrances posted in university accounting system/general ledger by maintaining a shadow report of transactions. Allocate department personnel salary in Banner for grant budget periods and university fiscal year budget. Prepare redistributions and personnel action forms for salary allocation when needed. Plan and implement administrative and operational activities of the PI awards and recommend changes to meet established goals and objectives. Responsible for ensuring compliance with federal agencies’ policy statements and guidelines. NIH/NIMIHD/RCMI funding agency guidelines. Including IACUC, OMB, Conflict of Interest, Space, Effort Reporting, and etc. Prepare subaward documents for collaborating institutions Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff. Familiarity with University policies and procedures and federal grant and contract regulations; establishes and maintains grant proposal files and update appropriate databases
Program/Research Leadership Supports the directors by advising on program management, organizational development, pre-service education, in-service training, capacity building, and collaboration. Work in various settings across institutions on management research protocols Establishes and manages a team with all the relevant disciplines and operational staff, including team building Develops a detailed implementation plan in line with the agreed scope and resources. Oversees development of a monitoring and evaluation plan for the successive phases of the project to capture project performance and results. Develops, conducts, and facilitates research protocols. Supports investigators in writing study protocols. Performs participant screening, enrollment, study activities, and communication. Maintains equipment and supply resources for research studies. Manages and monitors data and reconciles data discrepancies for quality assurance of the research project/study. Administers various research surveys in accordance with research study requirements. Monitors compliance throughout the research project and engages compliance oversight as needed. Implements all educational activities related to study needs for study staff, investigator team, and patient care staff. Participates in departmental policy and quality projects. Manages all regulatory processes related to research projects Helps to gain approval as needed for Institutional Review Board preparation, submission, modifications, reporting, and termination activities. Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five (5) years of related project management experience. Certified Research Administrator Certification Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, Canvas, etc. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Biomedical Discipline is preferred. Expertise/experience in health research systems strengthening, integrated research programs

Immunization Immunization Requirements It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment.
