The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards. **Salary Range** $111,600.00 - $184,200.00 **Target Openings** 1 **What Is the Opportunity?** This Project Director role will support mid to large scale initiative(s) with high complexity as an individual contributor within Product Sophistication. The Project Director will spearhead the Inland Marine Product & Platform Modernization effort, partnering with product leaders, Product Value Stream Circle Leads and partners across Business Insurance. The Project Director will help in identifying connections related to the business outcomes across the Business, Value Streams and Circles to the defined BI and Product Strategies. This position is the primary point of accountability to Business Partners and other parties for the management and implementation of the medium to large size Projects or small to medium sized Programs that support achievement of moderate to complex unit or corporate goals. The Project Director works with minimal supervision and is responsible for applying advanced Project Management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques. Individual will focus on key project deliverables, processes, and systems in order to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations. **What Will You Do?** + Implement/adhere to governance forums, practices and processes + Drive or support discussions with Business Stakeholders and/or Circle Leads/POs on execution against initial strategy that has been defined. + Partner with Circle Lead/ Lead APO to ensure dependencies are monitored/resolved against milestone plans + Partner with Business Stakeholders in coordinating across disciplines (markets, functional partners) to achieve maximized value delivery across initiatives + Facilitate updates across teams, stakeholders and forums + Support development of business level roadmaps + Support/build engagement model in partnership with Circle Lead/PO + Act as a thought partner to challenge traditional means of driving work and champion the “discovery” mindset to partner on the problems we are trying to solve and the outcomes we are looking to achieve against defined measures of success + The Project Director controls planning and execution of the Projects' or Program's activities and resources to ensure that established cost, time, and quality goals are met. + The Project Director works with minimal supervision and is responsible for applying advanced Project Management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to Project deliverables, processes, and systems in order to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations. + The Project Director operates within defined parameters using a proven Project Management Methodology with flexibility to merge different methodologies in accomplishing collective goals. + Perform other duties as assigned. **What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?** + Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. + 7 years of project management experience preferred. + 2 years of experience managing others and/or project teams preferred. + Manages team development, very active in the mentoring of members of the PM community, may have direct management responsibility of PMs. + Develops both IT and Non-IT Project budgets.
