Project Engineer, Product Development

Our client, an industry-leading manufacturer, is growing and adding a **Project Engineer** to lead **Product Development** in the **Kingsport, TN area.**
The Project Engineer will lead the product development process, from concept to production and ensure standards, timelines, goals and budgets are being met.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Oversee product development projects from start to finish, continuously monitoring timelines, resources, and budgets.
+ Ensure designs meet all regulatory, quality, safety, and performance standards, including energy efficiency and environmental compliance.
+ Prepare budgets, control expenditures, and provide management updates.
+ Lead a cross-functional engineering team through the project lifecycle.
+ Develop and maintain documentation to ensure standards are met.
+ Plan and manage product testing, including durability, performance, and safety.
+ Address technical issues, implement design changes, and ensure milestones are met.
+ Support the production process with design input and resolve manufacturing challenges.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
+ 5+ years of experience in product design engineering (appliances or HVAC preferred)
+ Project management or leadership experience a plus.
+ Proficiency in CAE software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
+ Experience with thermal systems, fluid dynamics, and electrical systems a plus.
+ Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., UL, CSA, ASME) preferred.
