Position Summary
Designs, implements and enhances industrial material handling systems that deliver exceptional customer value. Works closely with the overall project team to design systems that exceed the project requirements. Uses creativity and innovation to tailor standard product offerings to meet customer needs. Leads project work and provide direction to less-senior team members.
Responsibilities Performs diverse, specialized and complex work involving significant accountability and decision-making responsibilityDesigns and enhances conveyor systems, various automated and semi-automated material handling systems, static and dynamic storage systems, mezzanines, and modulesReviews customer specifications and scope documentation for quotation and clarificationEstimates costs and develops bills of material for proposals and ordersPrepares, reviews, and coordinates drawings for proposals, approvals, and installationGenerates AutoCAD drawings from instructions and sketchesPerforms process checks and reviews the output by other team membersTravels to project sites up to 30% Qualifications Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experienceExperience in engineering design and project execution, preferably in the material handling industryIntimate knowledge of Daifuku and/or industry related ASRS equipmentKnowledge of industrial automation a plusProficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft OfficeAbility to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlinesStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong verbal, written and listening skillsAbility to speak Japanese is a plusAbility to interface effectively with internal and external customers, vendors, consulting engineers, architects, and installersAbility to lead work teams and projects effectivelyStrategic thinking and problem-solving skillsTeam-oriented and collaborativeCreative thinking skillsSelf-motivated and detail-oriented Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareRefer this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
